Revitalize Downtown Dickson

According to the Dickson Herald, plans are moving forward to revitalize downtown Dickson.  A committee has hired Lose and Associates to be the architect for the project.  Lose and Associates did a similar project in Ashland City’s downtown.  The revitalization has been proposed to the Tennessee Department of Transportation for an enhancement grant that will pay 80%.  If approved, the city of Dickson has agreed to pay the remaining 20%.  The maximum total to be $1.5 million.  Dickson expects it to take up to one year to receive a response from TDOT.  With this in the works, it would be a good time for long term investments in property in the downtown area.  Just expect construction to begin in a little over a year and be around for some time.  If this all comes to pass,  property values should increase in the area substantially.
