We are zoned to go to Oakmont. It is out of my way to go to Oakmont. I am not sending my child to a school that has an over crowding problem. That just means that the teacher/student ratio is bad. My child will be starting Kindergarten in the fall of this year and I am having a hard time deciding what to do. My options are limited because of this zoning issue. I want my child in Discovery, but I am going to have to go and wait in line on registration day to try to get my daughter into that school. I have been told it is nearly impossible to get in unless you are zoned to go there. I do not know who decides the zoning but I am disgusted by it. I just would like someone to tell me why the zoning was done the way it was.
